Why does FIELDS SMITH charge a commission on orders?

Our commission helps cover the operational costs of providing a reliable, high-quality delivery experience for both customers and restaurant partners. This includes driver compensation, platform maintenance, customer support, and ongoing improvements to our technology and logistics systems. By charging a fair commission, we’re able to support local businesses, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain the level of service our customers expect.

Can FIELDS SMITH's delivery services integrate with my current POS provider?

Our delivery platform currently integrates with Revel POS, Square POS, Deal POS, and Oracle Simphony POS systems. For businesses using other point-of-sale solutions, we offer custom integration services upon request for an additional fee.

What kind of customer support do you offer?

We offer two customer support options for our restaurant partners. You may choose to have our customer service team assist your diners directly by displaying our support line on your merchant listing. Alternatively, you can opt to handle all customer inquiries in-house, with diners directed to your restaurant for support.

What happens in the event of a charge back?

Chargebacks are an unfortunate reality in payment processing. To safeguard your revenue, we offer optional Payment Protection at $0.25 per order. We strongly encourage all merchants to enroll—because with this protection, you retain 100% of the order value regardless of the chargeback outcome.

Can I use FIELDS SMITH food booking and delivery solution if I use another third-party platform?

Absolutely. Our goal is to prove that FIELDS SMITH delivers the most cost-effective and dependable alternative to other third-party platforms. By consistently earning diner loyalty, we help drive repeat orders and maximize your revenue—making us your #1 delivery solution.

Do I need to have a website and/or online ordering platform in order to work with FIELDS SMITH?

No. As part of your partnership with FIELDS SMITH, we develop a custom online ordering platform and an SEO-optimized website tailored specifically to your restaurant’s brand and needs.

A few quick notes to keep things clear

Additional fees:
  • Credit card processing fees fees are 2.9% + 30¢ per order.
  • We offer Payment Protection for an additional 25¢ per order. Find out more by clicking payment protection.
  • $99 Annual Developer Fee paid directly to Apple for branded mobile apps. 
  • $250 - $450 for printer. 
  • $100 - $200 for tablet. 

Additional Information
  • We process payments through Stripe Connect. You will need to set up a connect account through our business before any payments to your establishment can be processed.
  • We process ACH payments to your establishment's connect account daily, Monday - Friday. These funds will automatically be processed to your account of choice based on the frequency you set in your connect account. You have the ability to complete an instant payout through your connect account for a fee. 
  • You can access your billing portal to view and download invoices anytime by going to our Billing Portal.
  • Standard delivery covers up to 2 miles. Expanded radius is up to 6 miles.
  • You will always be in control of your menu and pricing. We do not mark-up menu prices for our services. 
  • Customers have the ability to pay with cash; you will receive payment for that order the same way you would as if they paid with a credit card; through ACH Credit.
